Babur Garden Kabul

Bagh-e Babur, located in the southern part of Kabul city, is one of the most remarkable examples of Persian-Mughal style gardens in the region. The garden was built in the early 16th century by the order of Zahir-ud-Din Muhammad Babur, the founder of the Mughal Empire.
Babur, who had a deep love for nature and garden design, wished to be buried here after his death — and today, his mausoleum stands within the garden.
The four-part layout (Chaharbagh), beautiful pools, ancient trees, and historic stone inscriptions give this place a unique charm. In recent years, the garden has been carefully restored by the Aga Khan Foundation and now serves as a public park and cultural center for both locals and visitors to enjoy.
