National Museum of Afghanistan Kabul

The National Museum of Afghanistan, established in the 1910s in western Kabul, is one of the country’s most important centers for preserving archaeological, historical, and cultural artifacts. The museum houses thousands of objects from prehistoric, Buddhist, Kushan, Islamic, and later periods.
Although it suffered heavy damage and looting during the civil wars, the museum has been restored with the help of international organizations. Today, it offers visitors a deep insight into Afghanistan’s ancient civilizations and diverse cultural heritage.
