Bagh-e Jahan Ara Kabul
Although the Bagh-e Jahan Ara no longer exists today, it is frequently mentioned in historical texts as one of Kabul’s ancient gardens. It is believed to have been inspired by the Persian “Chaharbagh” design and named after Princess Jahan Ara Begum, sister of Shah Jahan, the Mughal emperor of India.
The existence of this garden highlights Kabul’s deep historical connection to Timurid and Mughal culture.
