Eidgah Mosque Kabul

The Eidgah Mosque is one of the largest and oldest mosques in Kabul, located in the southeastern part of the city. It was founded during the reign of Amir Abdur Rahman Khan, and construction continued under Amir Habibullah Khan.
Built with a blend of Islamic artistry and local Afghan elements, this mosque has long served as the main gathering place for Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Fitr prayers. Throughout history, it has also hosted important political events, including speeches marking Afghanistan’s independence.
